This class offers students a fun and creative introduction to digital photography.  Students learn about the fundamentals of photography, how to use all of the functions of their digital camera, as well as how to take a good photograph.  This class is specifically designed for elementary school student photographers.  It includes weekly photo shoots and assignments.  The session ends with a slide show, exhibiting the best of the students' work (parents are welcome!)  Ms. DeVore teaches for Glen Echo Park Photoworks and for University of Maryland’s Study Abroad Program in Oaxaca, Mexico. She shots for a variety of clients including The National Geographic and The Washington Post Magazine. She is passionate about teaching elementary students to use their cameras to express themselves.

Students must provide their own digital camera (point &shoot or DSLR).  Cameras need to be charged and ready with memory cards for each class.  If students have a cord to connect their camera to a computer or a card reader please bring to class.
